Message from SYS Panel 2013-2014

It gives me immense pleasure that the SYS is releasing its news letter. Only few national institutes have structured societies or associations for research scholars. The society is highly functional in matters of research scholar welfare. It has taken up several issues like hike in fellowship, revision of institute fellowship and basic facilities for research scholars. It has worked hard to bring together all the research scholars on one platform to fight for their rights in 2014. Good science is crucial for progress of research.

AIIMS is a premier institute of the country with very high number of research scholars. It publishes a very large number of research papers in various disciplines in national and international journals. The part played by young scientists or research scholars is central to this output. There remains however a continuing need of excellence in scientific research and for the reliability of the data accumulated so that the work stays valid in literature. The SYS has over the years worked diligently to improve the research environment, apart from safeguarding interests and rights of research scholars. We wish the society and its members all the best for their future.

Mr. Anil Kumar.
Chairman,
SYS- 2013-2014.

Our Team

The Society for Young Scientists (SYS) was conceived as a forum for exchange of ideas by Prof. Pradeep Seth and Prof. B. L Jailkhani in AIIMS in 1974. We, the 41th committee of the SYS 2016-17, aims to strengthen scientific cooperation among young scientists. We endeavour to let the scientific thoughts soar and make research a more fulfilling and rewarding experience in our institute.

"Let us join hands to create an aura of scientific distinction in AIIMS. "
